Certains développeurs et éditeurs ont encore une fois rivalisé d'ingéniosité pour ce 1er avril et ont sorti quelques beaux poissons. En voici un podium très personnel.

Une nouvelle fois, Blizzard sort du lot en ayant préparé trois fausses annonces : le retour sur consoles avec Starcraft Motion Overdrive, une appli iPhone pour Diablo 3 et l'excellent Craaby the Dungeon Helper qui fait son arrivée dans WoW.

Notch y est allé également de sa petite blagounette en ouvrant l'item shop officiel de Minecraft et son item de réponse du support.

Gros boulot de la part de NCSoft qui nous a pondu la profession de commando dans Guild Wars 2. Description drôle, vidéo, screenshots, fonds d'écran, tout y est. Je m'arrête ici car cette histoire de Commando m'a fatigué : après tout, ne dit-on pas le commando couche-tôt ?

Et tellement vraie au final...

" le commando couche-tôt" je n'ose imaginer que ce jeu de mot ait rapport à un regretté explorateur à bonnet sinon, c'est fort de roquefort...

Paradox Interactive reveal plans for Vietnam franchise

Ho Chi Minh City, April 1st 2011 - Today Paradox Interactive has announced the full title of their upcoming roleplaying strategy game King Arthur II, now known as King Arthur II: Vietnam. The change comes after receiving overwhelmingly positive reactions to the announcement of Magicka: Vietnam.

The Glorious Leader Fredrik Wester explains the reasoning;
"A wise journeyman once told me "Don't stop believing" and that's exactly what we're doing here. The response on the Magicka DLC was so fantastic so we just decided to keep going, so this is a strategic decision we're taking for the company and all our games across the board. The decision was made without consulting any developers or fellow colleagues, it just felt right."

What surely will mark a paradigm shift in the gaming industry as a whole, King Arthur II: Vietnam will soon be followed by the space strategy epic Sword of the Stars II: Vietnam. Paradox Interactive aims to quickly follow suit with Europa Universalis: Vietnam, Vietnam: The MMOVRGP before rounding off the year with Vietnam: Vietnam since gamers have requested this on frequent occasions.
